Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University is a public university situated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It is the only university which offering various courses in Journalism and Mass communication. It also has campuses in Reeva and Khandva and it offers only full-time programs at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral levels. The motive of this university to promote media studies among all students and motivate them to pursue these courses.
MCU.ac.in Fees Structure 2026
Admission procedure 2021-22 has been started, so interested candidates may apply any of these courses as per their choices. The application will accept online-only, so candidates can go through the official website of the university. Admission will be based on merit basis in the previous academic records except for M.Phil. Due to COVID-19, the campus may modify the date of admission procedure, the information will be given on the website. So all the candidates please check the website time-to-time.

There are various streams such as; Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Advertising & Public Relations, Film Production, Media Studies, Business Management, Computer Applications, Information & Cyber Security, Mass Communication, Multimedia and Library & Info Sciences. The courses offered i.e. MA(J), MA(BJ), M.Sc, MBM, BBA, BCA, MCA, B.Tech, B.Lib.Sc, DCA, PGDCA, and M.Phil.
If students wants to withdraw his / her admission before the commencement of programme, then Rs 5000 will be deducted as the processing fees and only caution money will be refunded.
Online application fee for the application form is Rs 300 (Rs 50 portal fee extra) for general and OBC category students whereas there is no application form fee for SC/ST candidates except Rs 50 that is to be paid for portal. Students can apply for any number of courses and for each programme they are required to pay Rs 200.
