Mahatma Gandhi Central University is recognized as the second central university in Bihar after the Central University of South Bihar in Gaya. This university is a public central university also known as MGCUB and came into existence in the year 2016. It is located in Motihari, (Bankat) , Bihar, India . It is affiliated by University Grants Commission (UGC).
There are seven schools run under Mahatma Gandhi Central University which offers candidates a wide variety of undergraduate and post graduate courses in more than 20 departments. The main streams that the university provides are Journalism , mass communication , library & Information Sciences ,Computer Sciences, Biotechnology and Business Administration etc.

Mahatma Gandhi Central University fee for B.Sc. course will be INR 21050 per year. Students must be 12th pass. The fee for M.Com. course will be INR 25260 per year. Students must pass bachelor degree from any recognised university. The fee for M.Sc. course will be around INR 19745.

Mahatma Gandhi Central University Fee payment
- The University has a very easy way to deposit the fees.
- The fees can be deposited in cash through challan at Central Bank of India, Luthaha Branch, Motihari.
- You can obtain the challan copy from the office of the Section Officer.
- After the fee payment, submit the University copy and Head copy at the office of the Section officer.
- Late fees of Rs 200- Rs 500 have to be paid by the students who fail to fees on time.
