Madurai Kamaraj University Admission 2026-27: – The last date to fill the Madurai Kamaraj University PG application form is 30 July 2026. The university offers various courses such as M.Sc., MBA, MA, MPEd., M.Com, MCA, M.Ed., M.Li.I.Sc.,. etc. The last date to fill the Madurai Kamaraj University UG application form is 10 July 2026.

The university has scheduled to conduct entrance exam for admission to PG courses on July 17, 2026. The university was established by the government in the year 1965. The University has been graded ‘A’. Madurai Kamaraj University is a statutory university, it offers various courses. Madurai Kamaraj University has 20 Schools, 77 Departments, 14 centers and more than 90 colleges affiliated to it. Admission to some courses at Madurai Kamaraj University is entrance based, while for some courses such as MA and MSc, marks obtained in the qualifying examination is considered. The university is situated in Palkalai Nagar, Tamil Nadu. The university has various centres under it and they are :

MKU Eligibility criteria for the courses

1.  Candidates who wish to pursue M.Phil courses must have completed their post-graduation from a recognized university. 
2. Candidates who are willing to pursue MA should have completed The graduation and should acquire the bachelor’s degree in the respective field or the stream. 
3. Candidates who want to pursue MBA should have completed their graduation with 50% + have a valid CAT score card.
4. Students willing to pursue M.Sc. Should have completed their graduation. 
5. Candidates willing to pursue Phd should have completed their post-graduation and should hold a degree in their respective fields. 
6. Candidates willing to pursue BA courses should have completed their 10+2 from a renowned board. 

MKU Admission Dates 2026

1. Post-graduation registrations will start from March 2026. 
2. MBA/MCA Applications will be available on the official website of the university from February 2026 to march 2026. 
3. MBA/ MCA entrance exam will be conducted on April 2026 
4. Undergraduate courses application available on the website from February to march 2026. 
5. Applications for integrated courses will start from May 2026. 
6. Last courses for PG applications will end on April 2026. 
7. M.Sc Applications will start from February 2026 till march 2026. 
8. M.Sc Entrance exam will be conducted on April 2026. 

MKU Admission procedure for Ph.D and M.Phil 

1. candidates will have to visit the official site of the university.
2.  The candidates can see the application form on the official site.
3. Candidates are requested to fill the application form with all the genuine and reliable details. 
4. Cross-check all the details filled by the candidate and then further proceed for the payment procedure. 
5. The application fee of INR 1000 for Ph.D. and INR 500 for SC/ST. For M.Phil the fee is INR 400 and no fee for SC/ST, they can pay via State Bank Of India collect facility.

Instructions for filling-up online application form:

Candidates need to upload:-

1. Scanned image of passport size photograph, signature, Consolidated mark statement (if candidate has already completed the UG Course, otherwise they need to upload the mark sheets of all five semesters) and Community Certificate (if the community of the candidate is other than OC). That is point to be noted that candidates who are from reserved category will have relaxation in marks.

Documents Required:

Following is the list of documents that candidates need to produce at the time of admission. Candidates must ensure that they carry photocopies of the following documents along with original documents.

1. SSLC, HSE mark sheets
2. UG degree mark sheet, Grade certificate or Provisional certificate
3. Community certificate obtained from Tahsildar
4. Income certificate (has to be produced by SC/ST candidates only)
5. Certificate of differently abled (for differently abled candidates)
6. Sports certificate (for those candidates who comes under the sports category)
7. Ex-servicemen certificate
8. 12th Mark sheet
