- Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies is also known as KUFOS.
- It is a State University and was established on 20th November 2010.
- Candidates will be considered for admission only if they qualify the entrance examination. Seats are reserved as per rules of government of Kerala. One seat is reserved as a supplementary for Kerala migrants. For children of fishermen 20% seats of total seats in each course are reserved as supplementary seats.

KUFOS 2026 Application Form
It is most important to note that, all relevant information about the application form is available on the official website: http://admission.kufos.ac.in/#home
The University currently accepts only online application for its Post Graduate, Ph.D. and Diploma Programmes.
This is to point out that, KUFOS 2026 PG & Ph.D. courses Application Form last date has been extended till May 2026.
How to apply
Firstly, fill the application form carefully.
The details such as Name, Age, Gender, Previous Education, Address, and Percentage. etc. is asked in the application form.
Secondly, submit the fees of Rs.1000 (Rs.500/-for SC/ST candidates of Kerala state only).
Besides, candidates have to send the application fee only via e- Challan in the favor of “The Finance Officer, KUFOS, Panangad”, payable at SBT Vyttila.
Thirdly, upload passport size photographs of the applicant along with their signature.
Besides, all these have to be sent to the Registrar, KUFOS, Panangad P.O., Kochi – 682506 (Kerala) on or before the due date.
Admission Counselling:
The admission counselling of Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies is done by the appointed counselors members as well as by the authorities of the University.

KUFOS 2026 Eligibility Criteria
PG Diploma in AST (Aquarium Science & Technology).
Bachelor’s degree in science from a recognized university.
PG Diploma in Ind. Aquaculture
B.Sc. in any Biological subjects including Zoology, Botany, Fisheries & Biotechnology.
PG Diploma in Brackish Water and Marine Aquaculture
At least +2 or VHSE with Biology as one of the subjects.
M.Tech.
B.Tech./B.E. in Integrated Coastal Zone Management/ Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Harbor Engineering/ Environmental Engineering/ Coastal Engineering
At least 50% marks
L.L.M. in Maritime Law (Evening Course)
LLB Degree in from a recognized University
At least 55% marks (50% for applicants from SC/ST category).
KUFOS 2026 Admit Card
This is to point out that, Admit Card will be available on the official website.
Steps to download the Admit Card:
Firstly open the official website.
Secondly, fill the required details
Thirdly, click the submit button and the results will appear.
After that take out, a copy of the admit card.
It is necessary to bring the admit card for the examination. The student is not allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card. The admit card acts as proof of identity.
KUFOS 2026 Results
It is most important to note that results will be published on the official website.
This is to point out that, KUFOS also publishes a merit list.
Besides, students can download the results by providing the required details.
After that take out a copy of the results.
KUFOS 2026 Admission and Counselling
The KUFOS 2026 Admissions are closed now. The last date for applying for KUFOS 2026 was 10 June 2026.
It is mentioned that for UG programs, entrance exams such as NEET, ICAR, etc. are mandatory.
For PG courses, entrance exams such as KMAT, CMAT, CAT, etc. are necessary.
M.F.Sc./ M.Sc./ M.Tech/PG Diploma, LLM in Maritime Law
This is to point out that, for these courses, admission will be based on the marks attained in the common entrance exam and interview conducted by KUFOS.
The entrance exam is of a total of 100 marks. The candidate must score at least 50% to get admission in the M.F.Sc. / M.Sc. / M.Tech /PG Diploma, LLM in Maritime Law.
Besides, it consists of 100 questions. Every question carries one mark.
MBA
This is to point out that, admission to this course will be based on marks obtained in MAT/ CMAT/ CAT/KUFOS MAT.
Besides, it is followed by Group Discussion and Interview.
The following courses are provided by the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS).
The candidate must qualify for the entrance exam as well as the interview to be eligible for the MBA program.
Change of Discipline:
Candidates who want to change their discipline can only apply within 15 working days of from the prescribed date of the PG program.
Penalty for False Information:
If a candidate has given the wrong information in the application form or in the mandatory documents the he/she will be disqualified by the University.
In a case if a candidate has already passed out from the university, then the degree awarded by the university will be withdrawn.
