Dalhousie University is a public research university in Nova Scotia, Canada, with three campuses in Halifax, fourth in Bible Hill, and medical teaching facilities in Saint John, New Brunswick. The University is one of Canada’s oldest Universities that was founded in 1818. The University has been delivering an exceptional education for the past 200 years and made an addition to the Agricultural Campus in 2012. In 2008 the College of Sustainability, the Office of Sustainability and Dalhousie student union Sustainability Office were formed. Dalhousie is a publicly funded research University and member of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada, as well as the U15, a group of Canadian research-intensive universities. As of 2011 18,220 students were enrolled at the University and 3700 courses in over 190 degree programs. Dalhousie offers more than 3700 courses and 190 degree programs in twelve graduate, undergraduate and professional faculties. The requirements for admission differ between students from Nova Scotia students from other provinces in Canada and international students due to lack of uniformity in marking schemes the requirements for admission also differ depending on the program. In 2011, the secondary school average for incoming first year undergraduate students was 85 percent. Canadian students may apply for financial aid such as the Nova Scotia student assistance program and Canada Student Loans and Grants to the federal and provincial governments. Financial aid also be provided in the form of loans grants, bursaries, scholarships, fellowships, debt reduction, interest relief and work programs.
Dalhousie Student Union
The student body of Dalhousie is currently represented by two student unions; the Dalhousie Student Union which represents the general student population, and the Dalhousie Asssociation for Graduate Students which represents the interest of graduate students specifically. Dalhousie student union began as the Dalhousie Student Government in 1863 and was renamed the University Student Council before taking its present name. The student union recognises more than 100 student organisations in the societies. Rhe organisations and clubs at Dalhousie cover a wide range of interests including acadamics, culture, religion, social issues and recreation. In addition to this, Dalhousie sports teams are called the Tigers. The Tigers Varsity teams participate primary in the Atlantic University Sport of USports. These are teams for basketbal,l hockey, soccer, swimming, track and field, cross country running and volleyball. The Tigers garnered the number of championships in the first decade of the 20th century winning 63 AU championships and 2 AUS sports championships. More than 2500 students participate in competitive clubs intraamural sport leagues and tournaments.

They have a wide range of choice ranging from traditional sports like basketball, socce, hockey and volleyball to activities such as rock climbing, broomball, dodgeball and inner tube water polo and numerous other forms of extra curricular.
The University has three campuses in the heart of Halifax which is close to the city’s major amenities. The three campuses of Halifax are situated in residential areas that within easy walking distance of downtown. The environment of the University is beautiful with historic ivy-covered buildings and well kept Studley Campus in Halifax serves as the primary campus, it houses the majority of the university’s academic building such as faculties, athletic facilities, and the Universities student union building. The campus is largely surrounded by residential neighborhoods. The buildings at Dalhousie very in age from Hath House which was completed in 1864 to the collaborative health education building completed in 2015.

Ans :> Yes, but with a condition if the admission is open for that section so they can transfer to another course with the same fees. They can log on the student portal and put in the request for a transfer course. There is no fee to complete a course transfer.
