Kerala University Admission 2024-25: Kerala University will soon start inviting applications for admission to new UG, PG courses . The university conducts an entrance examination to offer Kerala University admissions. The exam will be conducted in an offline after which, the university will offers KU Admissions 2024 to students.

Kerala University has invited applications for admission to new degree courses allotted to aided and self-financing education institutions affiliated to the university. Those who seek admission to various courses in 29 aided and self-financing colleges may submit their application before 5 pm on October 15. Kerala University is perpetually ranked as a top university for its best infrastructure, quality education, and placements in Kerala. It was esteemed in 1937. It is a state-based university that is accredited A grade by NAAC. Around 150+ colleges are affiliated to this university and it has around 137 research centers working currently. The last date for colleges to apply for new courses is October 9. So far, only aided and self-financing institutions have successfully applied for new courses, though a few government colleges too are expected to submit their applications by Friday.

As per the latest NIRF Ranking 2024, Kerala University ranks 40th among the top universities in India, a significant drop from its 27th position in 2021. The university also witnessed a decrease in its overall ranking from 43rd (2021) to 52nd in 2024. Kerala University admission 2024 is open now. University of Kerala (Kerala University) has opened the application portal 2024 for Post Graduate Diploma in English for Communication (APGDEC).

Kerala University UG Admission 2024-25

The Kerala University offers admission to a number of undergraduate degree programme in various fields of study. Candidates who have completed 10+2 and wish to pursue an undergraduate degree from the esteemed Kerala University can do so by submitting the online registration form. The university will soon release the online admission form for Kerala University UG Admission 2024-25. Procedure for B.Tech and B.Arch:

The candidate will be eligible for the seat after passing the entrance exam conducted by the university.

NATA qualified candidates will get direct admission.

Procedure for MBA and M.Tech:

For MBA, applicants need to pass the CAT exam, only on the basis of the cat exam score, he or she will be eligible for the seat.

For M.Tech admission, scores of GATE will be considered for the seat.

Procedure for BBA, B.COM:

 Admission into these courses will be based on merit list issues by the university. 

Procedure for PG courses:

For getting admission in the PG courses, the applicant has to take the entrance exam conducted by the university.

Procedure for BPA, BFA and B.P.Ed courses:

Admission on the basis of the entrance exam conducted by the university, the performance will be examined by the university for seats. 

Kerala University Admission 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria

The university admission portal would open for new registration and alterations, if any, in the options they have already given. Cancellation of higher options, changes in grace mark and revaluation marks, and category change can be carried out till Oct 15.

UG Courses:  Each course follows a different eligibility criteria which is as follows:

B. SC-  Proper passed 10+2, allotment rounds on the basis of marks

BA- Proper passed 10+2, allotment rounds on the basis of marks

BA (H)- Proper passed 10+2 with 70% marks required (60% for SC and 55% for ST)

BSW- Proper passed 10+2, allotment rounds on the basis of marks

BFA- Proper passed 10+2, allotment rounds on the basis of entrance test

BPA- Proper passed 10+2, marks in the entrance test with Aptitude test

B.VOC- Proper passed 10+2, Merit-based

BCA–  Proper passed 10+2 with Maths, Merit-Based

B. Ed-  Graduation passed, Entrance Test

LLB- Graduation passed, Entrance Test

Eligibility for, MBA (part time), MCA, M. SC, MA, M.Com, M. SC, MSW, Master of Visual Arts (MVA)- candidate must have bachelor degree with 50% marks obtained (45% for reserve category), admission by university based entrance test with interview.

M.Phil/ Ph.d- Master degree with 55% marks, admission by university based entrance test with interview.

MBA (full time)- Bachelor degree with 50% marks, admission baked on the score obtained in CAT/ KMAT/ CMAT

M.Arch- B.Arch with 55% marks, admission by university based entrance test with interview.

M.Plan- B.Plan with 55% marks, admission by university based entrance test with interview.

Reservation Criteria:

The reservation is offered for a few students, specific for some categories:

Sports, widows/wards of Armed Personnel killed/ disabled in action during peacetime, people with disabilities and others.

Documents required at the time of Kerala University Admission

The candidate has to be appeared in the counseling with original documents, these are:

• The Admission Memo.
• Receipt of University fee remitted in the bank.
• Certificate to of DOB (10th mark sheet)
• Transfer Certificate (TC) if any
• Migration Certificate, if applicable.
• Any rest document as per the requirement issued by the head of the institution. 

Important Tips:

• The students should participate in the extra-curricular activities and can join NCC / NSS if they have an option. 
• Faculty members have their control on internal examinations so try to be good with the faculty members. 
• The university adds 5 percent marks in the result on the basis of your attendance so you should have 95 percent attendance.
