About Joseph Mundassery Scholarship: The Joseph Mundassery Scholarship is a scholarship program offered by the Government of Kerala, India, to support financially needy students pursuing higher education in various fields, including arts, science, commerce, engineering, and medicine. The scholarship is open to students who are permanent residents of Kerala and have secured admission to a government or aided college in the state.
The Joseph Mundassery scholarship, a new scholarship was launched by the Government of Kerala and functioned by the Department of Minority Welfare (DMW), under the state Government of Kerala.

The objective of this scheme is?
Joseph Mundassery Scholarship is for the students studying at HSE level (10th class), Plus 2 (10+2), and VHSE level.
Through the scheme, the selected meritorious students who belong to a minority community such as Christian, Buddhism, Jain, Sikh, Muslim, Parsis, etc will get a sufficient amount so that student can continue with their studies without any hindrance since it is an initiative taken by DMW for these students.
This scholarship is awarded at various levels such as SSLC, 10+2, and Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) level to help them complete their education.

Candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria and must apply before the deadline as the link to apply online gets deactivated on completion of the deadline.

- Only the residents of Kerala are eligible.
- Students from a BPL ( below poverty line ) family/background are eligible.
- The candidate who belongs to any of the minority communities such as Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, Muslim, or Parsi are eligible for this scholarship.
- Students pursuing their class 10th or 12th education are eligible.
- The candidate must have a bank account in their name at any of the nationalized banks.
- The candidate must be pursuing his/her education from any government or government-aided/ funded school or institution to be eligible for this scholarship.
- The annual family income must not be more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum from all the sources.
- The students from other states are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Joseph Mundassery Scholarship Benefits?
Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to the student so that they could continue with their further education at different levels like SSLC, Plus 2, and VHSE levels.
The specific amount awarded to every successful applicant under the Joseph Mundassery scholarship is –
- SSLC students with A+ grades in all subjects get a scholarship amount of INR 10,000.
- The undergraduate students with 80% of marks and above will be given a scholarship amounting to Rs. 15,000
- The post-graduate student with 75% of marks and above will be given a scholarship amounting to Rs. 15,000
