IIST Admission 2026-26: IIST, Thiruvananthapuram is an Indian institute of space science and technology (IIST). This institute receives assistance from the government. For PG courses, IIST 2026 Application Form has been made available online for the candidates. For UG courses, candidates can apply from April 2026 and for PG courses candidates can apply from May 2026.

IIST Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria

B.tech –  The eligibility for the B.tech course is that student must have passed the 12th class with 75% and must be cleared of the JEE Main exam.

M.tech –  The students registering for M.Tech must have graduation passed Degree with qualified in GATE exam.

Ph. D  –  The candidate must have a post-Graduation Degree. The candidate must also qualify for the interview and the entrance examination for admission to the Ph.D. course.

B.Tech + M.S – The candidate must have passed 12th class with 75% and also qualify in JEE Main exam.

B.Tech + M.Tech –  The candidate must have passed 12th class with 75% and also qualified in JEE Main Exam.

IIST Admission Process 2026

For M.tech and M.S. courses  – 

• The student will get the application form from the institute’s website. They should fill it online only. This process is done after you pass the eligibility criteria.
• Fees will be paid online according to the caste of the candidate.
• It is must to bring the hard copy of your document at the time of your entrance exam or interview.
• Rs. 600 for PG programmes and Rs. 300 for SC, ST, PWD and women.

For B.tech and Dual B.Tech courses – 

          The application date scheduled from 05 June to 15 June.

• JEE Main Or JEE Advance exam is must for the admission in IIST University. After registering candidate will get one roll number that is recommended at the time of Admission.
• Rs.600 for everyone and Rs. 300 for the SC, ST, PWD and women will be the application charge.

For Ph. D. – 

• The applicant must have a first-class grade in the M.Tech degree.GATE score will be the point of Admission.
• If the Applicant has a M.S Degree from a top foreign university then there is no need for a valid GATE score.
• The Applicant maintaining the 9.0 CGPA or more in their B.Tech course and have Qualified the GATE Exam. That student will be Qualified to Direct Admission for PhD.

• Register yourself with enter details of name, email id and mobile number.
• Then user id and password will be generated. Next fill academic details and course name in which you wish to apply.
• Fill all the mandatory details and click on the final submission.
