Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyala (IGKV) will release the admission notification for its various programs on the university’s official website in the last week of April. The deadline for applying to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in agricultural science, forestry, and related fields at IGKV is usually October 31, 2026 (Tentative).

The admission for UG programs will be done on the basis of merit. An entrance test conducted by the university for PG programs admission.

IGKV Important Admission Dates 2026

It is most important to note that, candidates who want to get admission in this university, have to check the important dates.

The last date of registration for the IGKV CET entrance test was 8th June.
Also, the last date of registration for the CG PAT entrance test was extended to 31st May.

UG admission:

The Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya offers multiple courses with different specializations such as B.Sc course, B.Tech. course, etc. You need to pass the secondary examination with good marks.5 percent relaxation is given to the students who belong to the reserved categories. The university makes a selection on the basis of marks obtained in  CG-PAT and CG-PET.

PG admission:

The Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya offers multiple courses with different specializations such as M.Sc course, MBA course, and many more courses. You need to pass out the graduation degree with good marks. The university makes a selection on the basis of marks obtained in IGKV-CET. 

IGKV Application Form 2026

It is most important to note that, candidates can apply for admission through online mode.

They have to visit the official website https://igkvmis.cg.nic.in/ for applying.

Firstly, open the official website and click on the “Application form”.

Secondly, they have to fill all the required details carefully.

Thirdly, they have to upload their photo and signature as per the required specifications.

Finally, after all these steps, they have to click the submit button.

IGKV Admission and Registration of New Entrants:

The new entrants must report in front of the Dean/Principle of the university after they have been selected for the program in which they had applied. On the prescribed admission date please carry an application form with attested copies of relevant documents and all the original documents for verification. If any candidate fail to submit the application form and required documents then automatically his/her admission will be canceled.

IGKV Eligibility Criteria

Firstly, the candidate should not be more than 25 years.

Secondly, the candidate should have completed their Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from a recognized university.

Thirdly, the candidate should have at least 60% in their Bachelor’s Degree.

The university issued the Admit Card to the candidates in June 2026,
