On June 1, 1985, Goa University officially opened its doors under the authority of the Goa University Act of 1984 (Act No. 7 of 1984). Higher education is offered at the university in the Indian state of Goa. Admission:

Goa University already reserves some seats for the reserved category students in the following way:

• 2 percent of seats are reserved for the students who belong to the SC category. 
• 12 percent of seats are reserved for the students who belong to the ST category. 
• 27 percent of seats are reserved for students who belong to the OBC category. 
• 5 percent of seats are reserved for students who belong to different abilities. 
• 1 percent of seats are reserved for the students who belong to the Ex-servicemen. 
• 10 percent of seats are reserved for the students who belong to the other universities. 
• 15 percent of seats are reserved for students who belong overseas. 
• 15 percent of seats are reserved for the students who belong to the Kashmiri migrants.

Goa University UG Admission 2024-25

The University offers B.A, B.sc, B.com, BBA, BCA, BSW, L.L.B and other courses. The Minimum eligibility criteria for admission is 10,+2 from a recognized board.

There are 17 disciplines in B.sc course and 18 disciplines in B.A course. Similarly, the University offers 5 disciplines in BBA. 

The Goa University will be releasing the online registration form for completing the admission process for the undergraduate degree programmes offered by them soon on their official website. The candidates who are willing to get admission must submit it. Goa University Admission 2024-25 Process

The entrance exam is the primary factor used in candidate selection for the Goa University admissions process, which is conducted entirely online. The application can be found online, and prospective candidates have the option of making use of any available scholarships.

The university is comprised of 26 departments and, in addition, 2 centers; together, these institutions provide a total of 33 master’s degree programs and 21 research program options.

Goa University B.E/B.Arch/M.Tech Admission:

Goa University offers B.E, B.Arch, M.Tech courses that come full-time duration. The candidates applying for this course should have passed 10,+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Maths as mainstream subjects.

BE admission is based on Goa CET and for B.Arch admission, it’s based on NATA.

Similarly, for M.Tech admission, the candidate’s performance in GATE or University-based exam is considered.

The University offers B.E course in 8 disciplines, M.E in 7 disciplines.

Goa University MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/B.Pharm/B.sc Nursing Admission:

The NEET score is used as part of the decision-making process for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and nursing programs. In addition to this, candidates would be required to participate in counseling offered via the university.

MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BHMS degrees are open to candidates who have completed their secondary education with a mark of at least 45%.

In particular, for B.Pharm, individuals who have a score that is considered valid on the GCET will be considered for admission.

Applicants to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program will need to have a grade point average of 45% or higher in the subjects of physics, chemistry, mathematics, and English from their secondary schooling.

Goa University M.A, M.sc & M.com Admission process:

The candidates looking for M.A, M.sc, M.com admission should be a Graduate with the relevant subjects. The Admission criteria are based on the Entrance test conducted by the University.

The University offers 13 disciplines in M.A degree and 7 disciplines in M.SC.

Goa University M.B.A/M.C.A  Admission process:

The Goa University offers 2 years course in MBA and MCA in Postgraduate level. For M.B.A, candidates having Bachelor’s degree and with an aggregate of 55% marks is eligible.

For M.C.A course, candidates should have passed 10,+2 with Mathematics subject and similar to MBA course too.

Goa University M.Phil/PhD admission process:

At Research Level, the University offers M.Phil, PhD courses in various disciplines. For Admission, there would be an Entrance Test conducted by the University.

The University offers PhD course in 10 disciplines and more than 15 disciplines in M.Phil course.

Application procedure:

The application form for all the courses is available online. Candidates need to download the application, fill in the required details and submit it. Added to the form, there are some required documents which candidates should submit along with the application fee.

Goa University Admission 2024-25 Document Requirement

The Goa University has an online portal where the students can submit the online registration form. There are certain documents which are required to be submitted by the candidates while they are submitting the online registration form. You must ensure to submit the documents in the correct format to avoid rejection. You should reach on time at the venue otherwise your seat is allotted to another candidate because the university allots seats in the counseling session.
