GIET University is known as Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology and is present in Gunupur in the state of Odisha, India. The Odisha government announce gazette notification for the award of the university status to GIET Gunupur in December 2018. GIET University also conducts GIETEE for Admission.
GIET University Admission dates 2026 have not yet been released. However, based on previous years, we can expect the following dates:

GIET Application form for admission 2026
The application form for the students is relatively similar. Moreover, the application form is functional both online and offline for the students.
Procedure for replenishing the admission form is given below :
1. Go to the official website (https://www.giet.edu/)
2. Now click on “apply now” then fill the basic details and create a login ID.
- Select a program and continue to fill the application form.
- Fill the form upload a photograph
- Finally, press Submit to FINISH
Candidates who are choosing to apply through offline mode are required to download the application form and had to fill their basic details. After filling all the details they are required to print the application form and has to affix recent colored passport size photograph and had to send at the following address:-

Eligibility criteria of GIET 2026
There are many courses accessible at the university. Moreover, there are various methods for clearing eligibility. Some basis criteria are as follows:
- For technical courses, 50% Aggregate marks In 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry /Biology /Biotechnology /Computer Science
- Similarly, For business students, The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination oversee by the State Board/ CBSE/ ISCE. Candidate has to appear for IEEE
- 50% of seat admission will be done on the basis of the JEE Main exam. Persisting 50% seats Impregnate on the basis of IEEE/JEE Mains or other national level entrance exams.
- Moreover for postgraduate students must complete the graduate degree under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern under any discipline, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognized university.

GIET Final Counselling 2026
A final and major step for admission. The student will get a final call for the counseling, Additionally, all the students must bring complete documents with the registered application form for the verification at the time of counseling. Several students will get direct entry to the university from here only. No student will be entertained after this final session of counseling. The parents are free to visit the campus these days. However, for postgraduates, there shall be separate counseling with personal interviews and group discussion. Likewise, the respective teachers analyze their performance in this session only.
