GADVASU Admission 2026:
- Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University was established in August, 2005.
- It is situated at Ludhiana in Punjab.
- It is also known as GADVASU {ਗੁਰੂ ਅੰਗਦ ਦੇਵ ਵੈਟਨਰੀ ਐਂਡ ਐਨੀਮਲ ਸਾਇੰਸਜ਼ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ}.
- The mission of the GADVASU is to provide better education to students.
- This university offers more than 20 courses in various streams in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses.
- This is to point out that, GADVASU has various affiliated and constituent college.
- The aim of the University to provide trained veterinary professionals and Research specialists who is capable of handling serious issues in health sector.

- The selection procedure for GADVASU Veterinary officer is Prelims Exams, Main Exams and Interview. Candidates qualifying in the prelims exams will be eligible to appear for the main exams . Those candidates classifying the mains exam will be eligible to appear for the interview which is in the final stage.
The university always had hostels from the initial days itself. However the university saw an increase in demand for hostel facilities specially for girls recently. Due to this increased demand now the university also has a newly constructed wing for girls hostel which was opened for the use by the students recently.

- An aspirant who wants to take admission in GADVASU first has to clear an entrance exam CET GADVASU.
- Thereafter please fill the application form with correct details.

GADVASU Eligibility
- For UG courses: must have passed 10+2 in relevant subject with minimum 75% marks in aggregate from a recognized board/university and should have a valid JEE-Mains/AIPVT score card.
- The duration of the UG courses is 4 years and 1 year Internship.
- For PG courses: must have passed graduation in relevant subject with at least 70% of marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
- Should have a valid GATE scorecard for admission in Master’s programme.
- Duration of master’s course is 2 years.

Eligibility: Master’s degree or equivalent with 70% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. The selection will be based on an entrance exam and personal Interview.

Admission to various courses:
- In B.V.Sc. & A.H.: Admissions in these courses will be done on the basis of merit scored in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-2022)
- There is no entrance test for admission to B.F.Sc., B.Tech (Dairy Technology) and B.Tech (Biotechnology) programmes.
- Candidates who is a resident of Punjab will be considered in the respective discipline as opted in ICAR AIEEA-PG-2022 on the basis of merit of AIEEA-PG-2022 entrance examinations.

Scholarship Programs
The university provides many scholarship programs for meritorious students who did well in their academics.
That are as follows:
- The university provides a scholarship of about Rs 500 every month to those students who had performed well in the entrance test of UG program.
- There are also national talent scholarships in which ICAR offers scholarships for the degree program to UG and PG students. This scholarship amounts Rs 2000 every month for UG students and Rs 3000 every month for PG students. This scholarship is valid for the full duration of the degree program.
- Scholarship of Rs 350 per month is also provided on the basis of four games i.e. hockey, football, cricket and athletics.
