Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University, Ahmedabad Fee Structure and Courses: In 1994, the Gujarat State Government founded Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU). The goal was to provide higher education opportunities for a larger segment of the population, and to promote the Open University and distance education system in the state’s educational trend. The University provides a total of 38 courses under normal, technical & vocational streams in various distance UG, PG & Ph.D. programs. It is certified by the Quality Assurance Cell State Level (SLQAC). In 2015, the university was awarded the Best Allowed University for ICT and has 250 study centers. INR 7.2 LPA was the highest package offered in 2020, with the average package for Session being INR 6.5 LPA.
