Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University was established in the year of 2012. Since then it is situated in Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Sonipat, Haryana, India, which is basically a National Law University. The University is affiliated with UGC, the Bar Council of India. It is the 23rd National Law University which is established in India.

The location of the university provides an ideal positive and friendly environment for education as well as overall student development. The university also started to impart advanced legal education, practical legal skills, and interdisciplinary understanding, keeping in mind the requirements of society. Students are also offered a student-faculty mentorship program, which allows them to connect with university teachers outside of the classroom.

DBRANLU Admission Eligibility Criteria.

Therefore the University is offering very limited courses which is only based on the law subjects. Where the admission is based on the entrance exam and the candidates who are eligible to seat for the entrance exam will be selected on the basis of the merits obtained from their previous qualifying exam.

• In this case, candidates for admission to B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) will be chosen based on the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Along with that candidates must have cleared their 10+2 examination from any recognized Board with at least 45% marks in aggregate and 40% marks for SC/ ST candidates.

DBRANLU Courses Offered.

Though it is true that the University is basically for students of Law. So they have only specific subject based on Law. Currently, they are not offering any other courses other than Law courses. Hence, the course is mentioned below :

• B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) 

Now the University has planned to start online Diploma and Certificate courses to promote Indian Culture and System are as follows:

• Diploma in Patent and Intellectual Property Law
• Diploma in Cyber Law with A.I.
• Diploma in Corporate Law
• Diploma in Shastri Jurisprudence and Danda Vidhan
• Certificate Course in Drafting, Pleading and Conveyancing

DBRANLU Entrance Exam.

Since, the admission in B.A. LL.B.( Hons.) admissions are based on the entrance exam namely – Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). While the candidates have to score good marks to get admission in the University.

DBRANLU Admission dates 2026-27

However, the dates are tentative due to the pandemic the whole world is facing. It is instructed to the candidates to visit the official website of the University for further more information about the University’s admission process. 

• Now, the Registration Date starts from    January 2026 to April, 2026.

• Also, the start of Exam is from   May, 2026.

• Moreover, release data of answer key is from    May, 2026.

Admission Procedure:

Candidates who are seeking admission to this university first have to check the eligibility criteria whether they meet it or not after that they can apply. How to apply for DBRANLU?

Before start filling the form candidates need to follow the instructions as per the University’s guidelines. The admission is completely based on the CLAT Entrance Exam. 

• Firstly, candidates have to visit the official website of the University. There they will get an application portal where they have to apply for the CLAT examination.

• After that they have to share their name and mobile number where they will get a password.

• Whereas, using that password they will be able to fill the CLAT application form.

• Now, the candidates are required to submit all the scanned copy of the documents such as personal details and the academic documents along with the application fee.

• Candidates will seat for the entrance exam. After the results comes out they will be able to take admission in the University according to their score obtained from the CLAT entrance exam.
