A Diploma in Food Technology is for those students who are interested to know about the food and food industry. This course focuses on aspects based on quality control and research & development in food industries manufacturing processed foods, food safety, and hygiene, food selection, food analysis, food adulteration, inspection, and regulations, etc.
This 2-year diploma course covers topics like Food Technology, Microbiology, Food production, technologies involved in food quality testing, enzyme technology, food hygiene, preservation, packaging, labeling, sanitation, quality management, and distribution of food products, etc.
Also, this course trains students in various specialization areas like food processing, food analysis, quality assurance, dairy technology, food production, dairy products, pulses, alcoholic beverages, sugar, vegetables and fruits, Processing of oil and oil seeds, meat and fish, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must pass class 12th in the science stream (with PCB/PCM and English as the main subjects).
- The candidate must score a minimum of 50-60% marks in class 12th.
Admission Procedure
Admission to this course is granted in both ways, merit-based or entrance-based.
For Direct Admission to this course, the candidate must score well in the class 12th examinations.
For entrance-based admission, pass the entrance exam (based on the specialization or college you choose, be aware of the cut-off marks).
