Admission for the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the humanities and sciences at Diamond Harbour Women’s University (DHWU) for 2026 is now open. Programs include BA Bengali, BA English, BSc Chemistry, MSc Zoology, MA History, and more. The tentative last date to submit applications for admission to DHWU is July 30, 2026.

Admission procedure for Diamond Harbour Women’s University

The university provides an easy procedure for applying for admission. The candidates who want to take admission into the university. Consequently, apply for admission by following the online method. 

Online procedure :

• Check the online portal of the university. http://www.dhwu.ac.in/

• Fill the admission form with relevant details. 

• Upload scanned copies of your documents. 

• Henceforth, submit the admission form fee. 

The fee procedure depends on the candidates. They can also submit the fee with the online procedure or by demand draft together with bank challan. 

Make sure to keep the fee receipt with you. 

If candidates want to take admission in Mphil together with a Ph.D, they have to follow this procedure for the admission.

• Download and take the print out of the admission form.

• Along with fill and attest documents. Pay fee with the other offline options. Likewise, bank challan and D.D. 

DHWU Eligiblity Creteria 2026

It is a must to check the eligibility criteria before applying for admission into the university. 

Candidates can be eligible for the admission test if :

• 10th + 12th mark sheet is mandatory for admission. 
• Consequently, entrance into the Ph.D. and Mphil need at least 55% into a master’s degree. Along with the candidates have to face the written test and Viva for Mphil admission. Together with RET + interview for Ph.D. admission.
• In the event that candidates want to take admission into the master’s degree, they should own a bachelor’s degree with at least 45%. The necessary admission is made on the merit list name. 
• University also gives a 5% relaxation to those candidates who have a background in sports. The candidates should own a national level certificate. 
• Candidates can face the national level entrance exam for admission in Mphil a Ph.D. Those candidates who own a good score at the national level entrance exam comes in the preference list of admission of the university.

Course of Study:

A candidate should have to admit herself as a full-time student of the Diamond Harbour Women’s University to the course applying for admission.

All the UG and PG courses will follow the CBCS system. 

An attendance of 75% is must for every candidate for all the courses.
