This university was established in the year 1818 and has been serving since then in the field of education. It is one of the oldest and premier universities in Canada and has provided education to many students for more than 200 years. The university provides 4000 courses in over 200 programs helping students in selecting the course of their choice and working towards their goal. The university plays it’s A game in terms of placements and around 2000 students take part in the placement drive every year. A team of dedicated professionals help students to get the best of jobs and internships. Geology is the top ranked subject of this University.
The students studying in the university will have access to one of the largest libraries in Atlantic Canada. The librarians also are extremely cooperative and help students in their class assignments and research programs.

All the 3 campuses are situated in residential areas making it easier for students to reach the college.
The University includes different faculties under which courses are offered. Faculties are Agriculture, Architecture and Planning, Arts and Social Sciences, Computer Science, Dentistry, Engineering, Law, Health, Management, Medicine and science. Under these faculties different departments are also included.
