CUET Merit List 2023 – Candidates can check their results in an online mode at cuet.samarth.ac.in . After the declaration of CUET Results 2023, the participating universities of CUET 2023 will release the CUET Merit List on their official website. To view the CUET Merit List, students need to go the respective official website of a particular participating university.
Common University Entrance Test aka CUET is a UG entrance examination conducted at the All India Level. The entrance exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency ( NTA). The previous year, the name of the entrance exam was Central Universities Entrance Examination which was conducted to offer admission to UG courses in central universities. From the current academic session, the name of the exam has been changed to Common University Entrance Exam. The renaming of the exam was done by the University Grants Commission commonly known as UGC. This All India Exam is conducted once a year in more than 500 cities across India. Now, the exam is conducted in CBT mode – Computer Based Mode. Earlier, UGC used to conduct this exam in pen and pencil mode. This year, NTA has decided to go with the CBT mode.
Universities that accept CUET 2023 scores are Aligarh Muslim University, Visva Bharati University, Central University of Tamil Nadu, University of Hyderabad, Central University of Kerala, Central University of Punjab and many others.
Read – The exam was conducted on July 2023. Before the exam, 3 days prior to the examination, NTA has told the students ( through the official notification) that the location centres will be written on the admit card, which they have to download again for final seat allotment. There were some students who faced technical glitches and were told that the exam centre was changed at the last moment. They asked the conducting authority to re-conduct the exam. In reply to this, the authority said that there will be no re-conduction of the examination. Approximately 14,90,000 candidates have applied for the exam out of which 8,10,000 candidates and 6,80,000 candidates are taking the test in the first and second slot respectively.

Let’s understand the changes made in CUET 2023.
- The name of the exam has been changed by UGC from Central Universities Entrance Test to Common University Entrance Exam.
- Earlier, the exam conducting body was University Grants Commission ( UGC) but from now NTA will be the conducting authority.
- The exam will be conducted in 13 languages. Students can choose their preferred language for writing.
- There will be a compulsory language test, two domain-specific tests, and a general test for CUET 2023.
- Along with the exam pattern, the application fee has also changed. Earlier, there were application fees for PwD students but now they will be required to pay as per the reserved category norms.
- Common University Entrance Exam 2023 scores are accepted at 86 Central Universities, State Universities, Deemed Universities and Private Universities.
CUET 2023 Exam Centres
The exam is scheduled to be conducted in as many as 50 cities in India and abroad. CUET 2023 will be conducted in 14 international cities. On July 2023, an advance intimation slip was released by NTA on the official website to state the city, state and exam schedule of a candidate’ prior to the release of admit card. Students were also notified and the same was printed on their CUET Admit Card 2023. It was seen that there were some of the students that faced technical glitches due to which their exam centres were cancelled/changed at the last moment.

CUET 2023 Results
Most probably, NTA will release CUET 2023 in September. The result will be released in the form of a scorecard in an online mode. How is CUET Merit List 2023 Prepared?
CUET merit list 2023 will be prepared by taking marks obtained in Class 12 and scores obtained in CUET into consideration. 30% weightage will be given to marks obtained in class 10+2 and 70% from CUET scores. This criteria will be used to measure and prepare CUET Merit List 2023.

CUET 2023 Counselling – CUET Merit List 2023
Once all the participating universities have released the CUET Merit List 2023, all the central universities will release the schedule for CUET Counselling 2023. Students whose names are on CUET Merit List are only eligible to appear and participate in the counselling. Students whose names appear on CUET Merit List are required to login through the application number and password and must select the preferred university and course they want admission in.
