The Central University of Jammu comes under the Central Universities Act, of 2009. The Central University of Jammu has the aim to develop as a Centre of higher learning where the culture, knowledge, and values meet together for progressive development.

The Central University of Jammu offers a variety of courses at the undergraduate, and post-graduate levels. The university also provides integrated courses. A merit list is released once the candidate fills out the form. According to the schedule issued by the university, the candidate must be present and bring along original documents for counseling. The Central University of Jammu provides Integrated M-Phil-Ph.D courses in eight different subjects.

Central University Jammu Updates

Students who have been assigned seats in B.Tech. programs at the Central University of Jammu through JoSAA/CSAB must report to the university campus to begin classes and have their documents physically verified.

Admission at Central University Jammu is closed for B.Tech and MBA programs. The admission will start approximately in the month of August 2026.

For UG admission to the Central University of Jammu, the candidates must pass the CUET examination. The online submission of the application form for CUET 2026 is open from 09 February to 12 March 2026.
The Last date for a successful transaction of fee through Credit / Debit Card / Net-Banking / UPI is 12 March 2026.

Central University of Jammu Admission Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates who are willing to be admitted to the Central University of Jammu have to be eligible for the courses accordingly as given below by registering themselves online on the university website.

Undergraduate Courses: Aspirants must have exceeded 10+2/ Intermediate Examination at an established board of education from the science stream with a minimum of 60% aggregate score. Postgraduate Courses: Aspiring candidates must be holding a graduate degree with 55% in the related stream. The candidate must be qualified for the entrance examination which is conducted online. The registration fee for PG admission 2026 in Central University of Jammu Admission is INR 250 for SC /ST /PwD and INR 500 for UR /OBC /EWS.

PHD Courses: The candidate can apply for full time or part time for RD (Research Degree) and candidate must be holding their master’s degree under any recognised college or university with the allied discipline with minimum of 55%. The selection is based on CUCET marks and personal interview. Candidates who have a valid score card of NET/GATE/SLET will be exempted from the examination. The candidate must clear the personal interview and the entrance exam for admission to the Ph.D. courses.

Central University of Jammu Admission Online Application form 2026:

The forms are available on University website. Candidates who are willingly to take admission have to go through the online entrance test taken by university.

Candidates interested to take admission offered at Central University of Jammu need to fill CUCET application form in the online mode. Aspirants can pay the application fee online, that is, by means of net banking/ credit card/ debit card, or offline through SBI challan.

Candidates have to download their admit card for CUCET from the University website for the examination. After that download hall ticket and the candidate need to take a clear print of the admit card for examination. The candidate will not be allowed for the examination if he/ she fails to bring the admit card. Hence, it is advised that the admit card must be kept carefully and displayed during the examination.
