[CIBS], LEH: The central institute of Buddhist studies has situated in Ladakh, or Jammu & Kashmir. It is a deemed university that has affiliated to the Sampurnanad Sanskrit University of Varanasi. The grant commission organizes the central institute of Buddhist studies and which offers numerous courses in the fields of social science, humanities, and, particularly, the arts, This university offers many classes for learners, like BA, MA, Diploma, Ph.D., certification, and many more classes. 

In the Institute’s own research program, eight research experts are now working on projects related to Buddhism and related fields. The institute offers institutional scholarships in support of this. Nine scholars from this institute have received the degree of Vidya Varidhi (Ph.D.) from the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, to which it is affiliated. Two of the awardees are currently employed at the institute in various capacities, while the other recipients are working in other academic institutions across the nation. In addition to this, the institute is providing self-financed Ph.D. programs in a variety of other fields, including Pali, English, Hindi, Indian History, Political Science, and Economics.

• To take admission in BA Shastri, a student must be an intermediate graduate from CIBS or should be equal to it.
• To gain admission to the Ph.D. course, a student must be M. A. Or M. Phil qualified.
• To take admission in any diploma language courses like diploma in Buddhist diploma in Tibetan/bhoti, learners need a certificate from the university itself.
• And to take admission in certified language courses like certificate courses in Buddhism or certificate courses in Tibetan/bhoti, a student must be matric passed.
• And many more courses are available in the field of arts, language, etc.
