On 2 January 1967, Berhampur University became a public university. Dr. A.N. Khosla, the then Governor of Odisha, inaugurated it. It has been approved by UGC and has an accreditation certificate from NAAC ‘A’. By ensuring inclusive development and thereby proving itself to be a center of excellence in the field of higher education, the University aims to take long strides in harnessing the outcomes of teaching and study in different fields.
Behrampur University is a public state University located in Brahampur, Odisha and has accredited with grade A by NAAC. It offers various courses at Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Research levels. Apart from regular, self-financing and diploMA courses, the university also offers 28 undergraduate, and postgraduate courses in distance education mode. The motive of this university to promote educational needs for those unprivileged people of Odisha.

The application forms are available on the official website of the university. Interested candidates may apply any of these courses, have to log on to the website. Click on apply and please fill the correct information in the application form and pay the registration fees through Debit card/Credit card/Netbanking.
The courses offered i.e. BA, MA, B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA, LL.M, M.Phil, and Ph.D. For admission in UG programs, a candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate (45% of marks for reserved category) from a recognized board. Admission procedure to such courses shall be made on the basis of past academic records.
The university also offers some add on courses i.e. Computer Science, Communicative English and Personality development.
The fees for MBA (Masters of Business Administration) course at Berhampur University will be around INR 30000 per annum. The duration of this course will be 2 years. Candidates must have passed bachelor degree from any recognised university. The fees for B.Ed. course will be INR 50000 per annum.
