IIEST Shibpur is recognized for its prominent Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program in the B.Tech program. The cutoff range for admission into the CSE branch of the B.Tech program is between 6911 to 11020 in the JoSAA Counselling. BESU Eligibility:
Admission into the university is based on an exam- NATA. Clearance of which is mandatory for the students applying admission to the university.
BESU Admission criteria:
The Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences administers the UG courses of the university. The university offers a wide bunch of UG courses in different disciplines like Physics, Earth Sciences Mathematics, Chemistry, and Humanities.
And the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences offers verified PG and Doctoral courses to the students applying for it. Whereas all the UG courses are approved by AICTE and they are accredited by NBA. On the other hand, architectural courses are approved by the Council of Architecture (COA).
Admission to the UGgg courses is based on an Entrance Exam i.e. WB-JEE and for the architectural courses, NATA clearance in the first semester is the requirement. A few seats are also provided to the foreign nationals from the central government agencies like ICCR, as the university offers no NRI quota.on the other side, a few seats are also provided to the wards of defence personnel and some state government nominated candidates.
The students who are good scorers are provided financial assistance or some discounts on their fee. Apart, some other help is also provided by many government institutions to the students.
