Barkatullah University Bhopal (BU) is a university sponsored by the state government. It was founded in 1970 under the name of the University of Bhopal. In 1988, its name was later altered to pay tribute to freedom fighter Barkatullah. Barkatullah University is a State University that is situated in Bhopal. The university has an area of 360 acres with 4 boys’ hostels and a girls’ hostel. It is accredited by ‘NAAC’ at grade B. Barkatullah provides students with undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs. The University offers courses in its affiliating colleges and it consist of departments that provide Education in the faculties of Arts, Social Science, Science, Life Science, Engineering, Law, Commerce, Education, Physical Education, Technology, Home Science and Management. There are two types of programmes under which different courses are offered i.e. Under Graduate (UG) Programmes and Post Graduate (PG) Programmes. It also offers correspondence admission to long distance students. The University expects that students must go through the eligibility criteria before applying for the admission.
Barkatullah University Fees Structure 2024-25
The different courses have different fees and some of the common fees that is to be paid every year by the students studying in different courses:-

Placement facility is provided to students by the University. Multiple companies visit in the college and give placement to the University students. They select students on the basis of their knowledge and skills.
The fees for B.Com. course at Barkatullah University will be Rs. 3295 per year. Candidates must have passed class 12th from any recognised board. The duration of this course will be 3 years. The fees for BCA course will be Rs. 7795 per year. The fees for PG Diploma course will be Rs. 2795 for one year.
