The Bachelor of Cardiac Technology course deals with the study of technical knowledge of the cardiovascular systems used for the treatment of heart disorders.
This course is based on research-oriented subjects and consists of various specialization streams in different subjects such as Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Data Science, Computer Science, etc.
The course fee varies from University to University so the average fees for the course range from Rs.10,000 to Rs.5,00,000.
The Responsibilities of the Cardiac technologist.-
- To assist doctors with the treatment and diagnosis of heart problems.
- To monitor patients during surgeries.
- To undertake Cardiac Stress Tests and to prepare patients for these stress tests including echocardiogram, Phonocardiogram, electrocardiogram, etc for diagnostic purposes.
- To prepare patients for various heart-related surgeries or operations
- To record and prepare a report.

Eligibility Criteria –
- The candidate must pass 10+2 with a minimum score of 55% marks in the science stream with PCB and English as the main subjects.
- The Entrance test is necessary to take admission to this course. After qualifying entrance test, you need to sit for an interview round or group discussion round.
Admission Process
The admission to this course is both merit-based and entrance based.
The admission procedure varies from University to University. Many Universities grant admission based on the scores of entrance examinations every at the National level like AIIMS, NEET, etc.
After passing the entrance exam, the students are required to sit for a personal interview or group discussion round.
