Assam Agricultural University UG Admission 2025-26

The Assam Agricultural University offers courses in the field of agriculture. At the undergraduate level, the Assam Agricultural University only offers the Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree programme. Admission to the course will be based on the marks in the entrance examination conducted by the university or other authorities. • B.Sc.: It is a five-year course that is provided by Assam Agricultural University in five different specializations such as Horticulture, Agriculture, Home Science, Fisheries Science and Sericulture. Admission to this course depends on the merit of candidates in 10+2. Candidates do not need to give any entrance examination to get admission in this course.
• B.Sc. (Veterinary Science): B.Sc. in Veterinary Science is also available in Assam Agricultural University. For admission in this course candidates need to give an entrance examination that is conducted by the university itself. This is an offline examination conducted at university level. Candidates who belong to Assam are only eligible for this course.

PG Courses Admission

M.Sc.: This course is provided in four fields by Assam Agricultural University. Admission is given on the basis of marks obtained in under graduation. Also, there is no entrance examination for this course that is to be given by the candidates.

• For Undergraduate Degree Programmes, the minimum age of a candidate should be at least 16 years for all the programmes except two programmes i.e. B.V.Sc & A.H.
• Candidates had to qualify previous examination in one go. Candidates who had given the supplementary examination though he/she has passed, but they will not be eligible to apply for this University.
• For B.Sc.

• Candidates who live in Assam are only eligible to apply for the University.

• Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (PCMB)

• For General/OBC/UPC Category : They had to score minimum 50% marks
• For SC/ ST/ Category : They had to score minimum 40% marks

• For M.Sc.
• University does not schedule any entrance examination, only candidates of Assam are eligible to apply for this course.
• The candidate who wishes to pursue MSc should be eligible for admission. The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in science stream and obtain at least 60% aggregate marks. The entrance exam is not required.
