AMET University Eligibility Criteria.

Since the University is offering various courses the eligibility criteria also depends on different courses . Some are only based on the merits of the previous qualifying exam as well as some of them only based on the marks obtained from entrance exams and personal interview . Selected candidates will receive a Provisional Admission Letter. Selected candidates will be notified individually intimated and notice boards. Candidates can also collect the form from the institute and take print out after downloading and submit to the office. The downloaded form can be sent via post.

• For the admission in B.E / B.Tech courses candidates need to complete their 10+2 standard examination from any recognized Board with atleast 50 % marks in aggregate . Along with that candidates need to clear their entrance exam and personal interview with a good score .

• Now for the admission in M.Sc. courses candidates need to carry their Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks in aggregate as well as the entrance exams .

• Candidates who are willing to apply for PhD courses must complete their Master’s degree from any recognized University in any relevant discipline with atleast 55% marks in aggregate. Besides that candidates will also be selected on the basis of marks obtained from entrance exams and personal interviews.

How to apply for AMET University?

The University sets both the modes of application process simultaneously. Either online or offline modes are convenient r the candidates to fill the application form.
However for the offline mode –
• Candidates have to purchase the application form from the university office by paying the application fee of Rs. 1000 through Demand Draft.
• Then fill the entire form properly and submit it with all the required documents.
Therefore for the online mode –
• Candidates have to visit the University’s official website to fill the form.
• After filling the form with all the required documents candidates have to submit it with the application fee of Rs. 1000 through online payment by Credit Card or Debit Card or by Net Banking.

Admission Guidelines

Application form fee once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

The application form should be complete in all area, an incomplete application form or an application form filled in a language other than English will be rejected.

Candidates must submit the filled application form either in person or through post or through courier to the admission office of the AMET at Kanathur or City office at Anna Nagar.

AMET Scholarships

• For the welfare of deserving candidates, AMET is assisting various scholarships from various Govt. departments.
• Post Matric Scholarship: which is given to those candidates who belonging to SC/ST/Converted Christians from SC
• Family income should not be exceeded than Rs. 2,00 lakh.
• Please attach relevant documents with application form:
• Community Certificate, Caste Certificate and Bank details of Candidate.
