- Problem/Solution
In this type of question you are provided with an issue, which you need to discuss and then provide answer for it.
For ex.: The overpopulation of our country has created many problems. Identify some problems and suggest ways to combat this issue.
- Double question
In this type of question, you are asked 2 questions and you need to answer both the questions.
For ex.: Today more and more people are moving towards yoga. Why is this happening? What are the advantages of yoga?
In these types of questions you have to make sure to answer both the questions in one-one paragraph each.

- Task 2 comprises of 2/3rd of the total writing test.

How to write your task 2 properly
Here are some extra points to keep in mind while writing task 2 are:
- Organize your ideas-
While writing your answer you have to first plan the answer in your mind. How you are going to write the answer in what sequence. Organizing your ideas would give you a clear picture about how you are going to write it.
- Understand the question
Before writing the answer, just read out the question for a couple of times. This would give you a clear idea about what the question is demanding you to write. So that you don’t get confused while writing down your answer.
- Write 2-3 paragraphs
You need to pen down your ideas in 2-3 paragraphs to make your essay more put together. Not writing 2-3 paragraphs can become a reason for you to cut down your marks. So try to divide your thoughts in 2-3 paragraphs other than the introduction and conclusion.
- Avoid unnecessary use of idioms
Using idioms in your essay may make your essay good, but try avoiding using idioms at unnecessary places. This might led to cutting down your score.
- Avoid slang language
