IGNOU Vijayawada was established in the year 2008 to bring in skills & to enhance the education levels in the areas of Vijayawada. It is exactly located in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.
The institution offered a variety of resources to aid candidates in learning.
First, the library now had more reference books and curriculum-related study materials. Second, direct reception systems for the interactive teleconference can pick up satellite signals. Third CDs for every academic programme, as well as recordings of interactive teleconferences, are kept for reference. Additionally, audio cassette recordings of all academic programmes and interactive radio conferences are now accessible. The construction of computer laboratories makes use of contemporary technology. The last date to apply for all the UG, PG courses to this regional centre is 31 January 2024. The fee structure for the admissions of the year 2024-25 varies according to the courses chosen and is between Rs 14,000 to Rs 15000 for the various courses taught here. The date mentioned above is tentative as per the latest update on the official website and there will be further updates in case of any change in the admission schedule. The segregated fee structure is also shown on the mentioned IGNOU website. IGNOU Vijayawada strives to establish the financial and social standing of students in Vijayawada. It has its own branches and pupil bases in other places as well. It has a regional centre in Koraput and a local hub of about 26 people, of which 24 are from the Hyderabad location. It now has 49 members in total.

The admission procedure of IGNOU Vijayawada is online. The candidates can visit the official website of IGNOU Vijayawada regional center and fill in all the required information by selecting the appropriate course. IGNOU Vijayawada RC offers 10 UG courses with 3 years duration and 13 PG courses with 2 years duration. It also offers 10 PG & advanced diploma courses, 14 certificate courses, 9 diploma programs & 1 Non-credit program. The admission process happens both online & offline.
