IGNOU is one of the best open universities in the world and is recognized nationally as well as internationally. Its complete form is Indira Gandhi National Open University. This university is working to maintain the aim of providing distance education to the masses easily reachable as possible. For this goal, there are various regional centers established to aid the students in continuing their degree process. The university is prestigious in its own way. The admissions process is done in two sessions. The 2024 January session admissions are about to start soon. The students will get updated regarding the same on the official website of the college.
IGNOU Raghunathganj: The Indira Gandhi national open university started 1st regional center in Raghunathganj which is in West Bengal so that the candidates of West Bengal can get the quality education of IGNOU through the regional center facility. The university opens the admission procedure twice a year for interested candidates. The application forms are released which have to be filled out along with the scanned copies of the required documents. The documents required comprise- 2 passport size photographs, a class 10th mark sheet, a class 12th mark sheet, a migration certificate, a transfer certificate, and a community certificate. The students must fill out the details very carefully in order to avoid any kind of rejection from the authorities.

The main of the IGNOU Raghunathganj established these regional centres into various corners of the nation is to provide education to those places where education cant reach easily as education is a must and everyone has the right to get an education The IGNOU Raghunathganj works under government policies so they provide quality education in a nominal amount. The regional center has the support of 1 learning support center along with the study center so that the candidates can take admission without any hassle. Activities held in the regional center are as follows the report and photographs of Hindi Pakhwada were launched in September 2014. The Raghunathganj regional center held its 27th convocation program from the 12th – the 16th of April 2014. The eligible candidates were invited and a letter was sent to them by the university to attend the 27th convocation program the students need to carry their ID Cards to take part in the event. A coordinates meeting was held on 25th March 2014 at Raghunathganj regional center.

Raghunathan covers 56 towns in which 3 towns do not have schools whereas 27 towns have more than 1-grade school whereas 14 towns have 1 vital and 1 center school and 10 towns have 1 Centre and 1 auxiliary school. The students can download a prospectus online through the official website and get all the details regarding admission and fees from the prospectus.
