Under the authority of a parliament act, the Indira Gandhi National Open University was founded. Along with it, a number of regional centres were also set up across the country so they could offer open education in addition to distance learning and make education easily accessible. In 2009, Panaji became the location of the IGNOU university’s regional centre. It is in charge of providing the pupils with programmes and support services. It oversees the organization’s staff development initiatives as well. The university offers its students a variety of distance learning courses in subjects including art, science, and others as well as a conducive learning environment.

Various regional centres are there across the nation so that facilities for open education can be provided along with distance education. At the IGNOU Panaji Regional Centre, there is a Campus Placement Cell (CPC) to facilitate the placement process for the students. The CPC works according to the recruiter’s requirements and students’ career objectives. The cell works with students to prepare them for the placement process and to provide them with various job opportunities.

IGNOU Panaji Admission procedure
The candidates can take admitted into the regional centre of IGNOU Panaji by following the simple procedure of applying for admission into the university. The candidates have should have complete documents so that they can take admission without any hassle. Class 10 and 12 transcripts, community certificates, migration certificates, transfer certificates, character certificates, identity evidence such an adhaar card, and passport-size photos are among the list of required documents. It is required to scan and self-attest all of the documents. The entrance to the university is opened twice for admission.
