This regional centre started functioning in the year march 2013. After the regional centre of Guwahati along within the beginning, the regional centre has 18 study centres. With the handful support of staff commerce college premises. In the current duration, the regional centre is started functioning from a rented building. Which is situated near Nehru park Johrat Regional centre. The regional centre of this Jorhat IGNOU university provides education to needy candidates along with the facility of open and distance learning to those candidates who can’t go outside for their education. These regional centres’ main motive is to spread education at those places where education cant reach easily.
