¤ Admission Procedure Of IGNOU
As all universities have different admission procedures, IGNOU also has its admission procedure. There are three methods of taking admission to any IGNOU University.
- Direct method
- Entrance exam based
- Merit-based
By following any one of these methods only the student can elect to take admission in Indira Gandhi National Open University. We will clarify all the methods for all the different programs in detail. Some of the courses are available based on direct admission while for taking in some special courses students have to clear the IGNOU Openmat Entrance Exam. This entrance exam is conducted by the University at the time of admission. The University conducts IGNOU Openmat Entrance Exam for taking admission in MBA, IGNOU Bed Entrance Exam for takinging admission in all bed courses and IGNOU Ph.D Entrance Exam for taking admission in all Ph.D programs. There are two modes of taking admission form that is

- You can obtain the application for the offline mode from the regional centres in your area, fill it out, attach the necessary paperwork, and submit it only there. You can select a centre based on what is most convenient for you. Additionally, the IGNOU official website is the only place where you may obtain the admission form online. Online forms are preferable since they are cleaner to complete. There are several admission form costs that range from Rs. 200 to 400 that must be paid at the time the form is submitted, whether online or offline.
Documents Required For Admission Procedure

Students who are filling the admission form in online mode can attach all these documents in the scanned format within 10kb of size.
Students have to pay an admission form fee which ranges from Rs. 200-400. Once the payment is done student got the control number. Students have to save this control number and take a printout of the submitted admission form.

Eligibility Criteria
It is very important to fulfill the eligibility criteria before taking adminssion in any of the program . All courses not have any age bar but some of the courses have an age requirement of 18 years and above.
- Bachelor’s Program:- Students who want to enroll in a bachelor’s program must have completed their 10th and 12thclassess from a recognized educational board or school. 10th and 12th class mark sheet is mandatory with a minimum of 50% marks for enrolling in the bachelor’s program.
- Master’s Program:- Students who want to enroll in ma aster’s program must have completed their bachelor’s program from a recognized educational board or university. Bachelor’s program degree is mandatory with a minimum of 50% marks for enrolling in a master’s program.
¤ Fees Structure Of IGNOU
The fee structure of different streams is different as the wide range of courses is taught in this university. Well, it’s not compulsory to pay the full fees at the same time. You can pay the fees in installments according to your comfort zone but at a given time. Scholarship Program is available for all the students who are studying at Indira Gandhi National Open University including SC, ST, OBC, and physically handicapped students. Students who belong to these reserved categories are also eligible for the government of India Scholarships.
