The Regional Centre, Delhi-I was established in the year 1989 as the ‘Delhi Regional Centre’. Along with this regional centre, Delhi formed another regional centre in the Delhi area so the name of this Delhi regional centre change Delhi from Delhi-1.
The jurisdictional area of Delhi-I was further divided after the establishment of yet another Regional Centre at Dwarka (Delhi-III) in 2008.

IGNOU Delhi-1 Admission procedure
The candidates who are not able to travel to IGNOU Delhi university can take admitted into the regional centre of Delhi-I which is a forming regional centre of IGNOU Delhi. The candidates can easily apply for admission into IGNOU Delhi-I by applying for the admission form online and offline procedure by login into the official web portal of the university. The offline admissions are done through the administrative office of the centre concerned where the students visit and submit the details along with copies of their documents for verification. The students have to submit all the documents which are required by the university. The students can fill out the form through the official website and pay for the same. They must submit the necessary paperwork online and pay the registration fee as specified. Other forms of payment cannot be made. Save the payment receipt as proof of payment. The IGNOU website, which is readily available online, is used to submit the online application. The information given must be entirely accurate and true, as the authorities are highly picky about the information given by the students eager to apply for admission.
