ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
One of the biggest open universities in the world, IGNOU offers admission to a variety of programmes. The total number of students attending this university is around 4 million. It has been recognised by UNESCO as the largest institution of higher learning. It has received a UGC approval and NAAC accreditation with an A++ grade. Two admissions cycles, held in January and July, are used to process applications. The January admissions round is currently active, while the July admissions period is currently closed.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The application forms for the July session are closed but the basic procedure includes the first step of filling out the application forms for the interested candidates along with the submission of all the required documents. The documents required include the class 10th mark sheet, class 12th mark sheet, community certificate, character certificate, transfer certificate, and migration certificate. The institution also releases a notice wherein the eligibility criteria are mentioned to attain the specific courses and also the fee structure of the different courses. The steps to follow while admissions are as follows-
Firslty, the candidates have to visit the university portal using the internet. After logging in, and registering themselves by providing the pin credentials, they will be getting the otp on the registered numbers on their mobiles. This process is done to ensure the accuracy.
The students must then complete the application forms that the university has made available. They must download the forms and print them out if they want to submit their applications offline. They must submit the necessary paperwork online and pay the registration fee as specified. Other forms of payment cannot be made. Save the payment receipt as proof of payment. The following stage entails filling out a form with information about educational credentials. To continue, applicants must select the save and continue option. The verification of the application by college officials is the final stage.
