IGNOU Vatakara was founded in 2011 to raise candidate skill levels and improve Kerala’s educational standards. This regional centre was developed to offer distance learning throughout Kerala as well as the districts of Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad, Kozhikode, and Malappuram. IGNOU developed this regional centre in order to improve the education and skills of kids in these districts.
IGNOU Vatakara was established to enhance the backward classes in terms of education and that’s the reason this regional centre was established. IGNOU Vatakara has 18 Learner Support Centers (11 SC, 5 PSC and 2 SSC) and offers various courses. With the approval of the Competent Authority, the July 2024 Re-registration Cycle has commenced. The last date of Re-Registration for the July 2024 Session will be August 2024.
IGNOU Vatakara Regional Centres
The IGNOU Vatakara Regional Center was created to offer education to the underprivileged sections of society. It runs in 18 areas and provides educational facilities through those places. The admissions procedure at IGNOU Varanasi begins in the months of January and July. Candidates can fill out the necessary information and submit it online once the application period opens. The website offers comprehensive information about admission, application form specifics, the deadline for admission, and tests. The IGNOU Varanasi regional centre offers both UG and PG programmes. There are a total of 10 diploma courses, 21 advanced diploma courses, 13 undergraduate courses, 20 graduate courses, and about 21 certificate programmes. The regional centre offers viva-voice capabilities, a library, and guiding services. In addition to this, Learner Support Services and a help desk are for the benefit of students. It offers 9 UG courses and 15 PG courses with a duration of 3 years & 2 years. Added to it, it offers 5 diploma courses, 7 PG & Advanced diploma courses, and 19 Certificate programmes.
