IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar was established in 1999. Currently, it offers 50 programmes including Certificate, Diplomas, and Advanced Diplomas as well as UG, and PG courses such as BA, MBA Banking and Finance, MCA, BCA, MLIS, BLIS, MTTM (Master in Tourism and Travel Management), Masters Degree in Dietetics and Food Service Management, Counselling and others.
Note – Candidates who have not appeared in viva of Programme MAPC, and PGDEMA Session December 2024 will now be conducted on 10-08-2024 at RC Srinagar
‘IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar established 32 exam centres across the valley to facilitate the examinees’. In the year 1999, to promote education in Kashmir Division, IGNOU Srinagar Regional centre was established. This centre did start its operations in the University of Kashmir Campus and also extended over the areas of Kargil etc. There are 14 programmes inside IGNOU Srinagar Regional centre and around 3 lakh learners are enrolled in them. At present, this regional centre operates with 43 learner centres, 21 study centres, 15 programme Study centres & 7 special study centres. Around 16 courses in PG & Advanced Diploma courses. Six courses are offered under Bachelor’s degree. IGNOU offers 8 diploma courses and 15+ courses in Certificate programmes. The candidates can choose the courses they like to apply and seek for admission. Candidate needs to enter all the required details with the application fees and submit the application online for further processing.
The college provides a wide range of services, including on-the-spot admissions counselling, to its students because Srinagar is a regional hub that promotes learning. The option of a fee waiver is available to SC/ST candidates. use the resources available to respond to queries or issues put forth by students in emails, letters, and other correspondences. The SMS service is urged to be used regularly by candidates for news updates of any form. IGNOU Srinagar Admission 2024:
The candidates can seek admission from IGNOU Srinagar Regional centre through the online portal of the University. The candidates can choose the courses they need to apply for, fill in the details online and apply for it. There are around 18 courses offered under the Master’s degree. The institution offers its students a wide range of courses. For students who are unable to complete their studies in a traditional setting, the university offers distance learning in addition to full-time courses. The university offers a good setting, a supply of study materials, research, and many other amenities.
