ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
One of the biggest open universities in the world, IGNOU offers admission to a variety of programmes. The total number of students attending this university is around 4 million. It has been recognised by UNESCO as the largest institution of higher learning. It has received a UGC approval and NAAC accreditation with an A++ grade. Two admissions cycles, held in January and July, are used to process applications. The January admissions round is currently active, while the July admissions period is currently closed.
Accredited to NAAC, Araria College is a government-run college in Bihar. It also serves as an IGNOU study centre. The admissions for the July session have been started and the deadline is till November 2024. Through the provision of distance learning, students can continue their studies in any area.

For offline applications, they have to visit the regional centre and submit the forms along with scanned copies of self-attested documents. For the online application, they have to register on the official website providing their details accompanied by the documents for verification.
