The main objectives of this regional centre are to promote and develop open learning distance education activities. Secondly, offering IGNOU programmes through a network of support centres located in different parts of the island where education can’t be reached smoothly. One is in January month along with another one in July. More than 50000 candidates enrol themselves with this regional centre every year.
