IGNOU (a Central University by an Act of Parliament) established Regional Centre at Saharsa in July 2011 with jurisdiction over eight districts of Bihar, namely Purnea, Khagaria, Madhepura, Katihar, Araria, Supaul, Kishanganj and Saharsa with the aim of democratizing higher education in the largely underdeveloped region of North Bihar. The latest updates regarding the admission dates and the submission of the assignments are regularly updated offline and online on the official website. The faculty is very well educated and experienced in their respective fields and support the students with the aid of innovative and newly devised methods to provide quality education.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The regional centre was founded in 2011 in north Bihar with the goal of bringing education to rural areas of the state that are difficult to access. Bihar has a low literacy rate, thus the regional IGNOU centre assists in bringing education to those areas of the state where it is needed and to those who are in need. This regional centre offers open education opportunities as well as distance learning so that applicants do not need to travel to the institution every day. When necessary, notices are also made public. There are also several competitions set up that encourage participation.<\/p>\n

Saharsa is situated in the beds of Bihar where education can’t reach smoothly. In the month of July 2011. Saharsa came into existence under the act of parliament. The distance learning program supported many students to fulfil and achieve their dreams and complete their education without the burden of going to university daily.<\/span><\/p>\n
